An amazing characteristic of music is in its diversity. It transcends age and culture and touches us all in many ways.
This edition of The Educator touches on teachers who address a variety of ages and cultures, and yet bring to us the universal character of music to communicate a sensibility of emotion.
We visit with Tara Bailey from the University of Southern California and find out how she uses the Roland C-30 Digital Harpsichord to help recreate Renaissance Music, with help from her early music ensemble “Natur.”
In a leap to the 21st Century, instructor and clinician Serena Mackey shows us how the gaming culture of our youth can have a positive affect on our teaching.
