Happy Summer!
An amazing characteristic of music is in its ability to stand the test of time. But while our music continues, the methods by which we listen, record and share music has changed considerably. Technology has changed the way our students relate to music and thus has changed the way we teach. Yet, it has also created new and wonderful opportunities for us to reach them in amazing ways.
State Education Standards are changing to encourage the implementation of technology into Arts Education. This edition of The Educator is designed to help you navigate these changes. “Common Core State Standards for Arts Education” helps to define these changes and offer sample ideas of new tools for you to use. Audio Recording is one of these new tools available to our students. Learn about the benefits of incorporating audio recording into your programs with “An Argument for Audio Recording.”
