EDUCATIONAL THOUGHTS
Welcome
(Photo) The essence of music is reaching out to share it with those that would also embrace it. This edition underscores Roland’s mission to reach out in as many directions as music can touch to share a “Better Life with Music.”

We have just finished a national tour with the Girl Scouts of America with a program called “Girl Scouts Rock!” You will be impressed with the recap of the events and the response from these girls and their intrinsic love for music.

Our music festivals are inspiring creativity across the country and around the world. The Roland V-Accordion® Festival and V-Drums® Contest have gone international. Check this article out and keep watch on our website for more festivals to come.

Nationally-renown class piano instructor, Jackie Davis, speaks to us of her experience as pedagogue and mentor. There’s much to learn from our interview with her.

Serena is back and continues with her tales from the computer gaming culture, and how it not only affects the way we teach, but the way our students learn.

Finally, if you have not heard a digital piano lately, you are in for a very pleasant surprise. Roland’s new SuperNATURAL® piano technology is blurring the lines between acoustic and digital pianos. We’ll tell you how we got there.

Enjoy,
Richard Schatz
